RALEIGH, N.C. (Feb. 5, 2008) – The N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission is seeking nominations for membership on its Nongame Wildlife Advisory Committee. Closing date for nominations is March 30, 2008.

The 18-member committee, which advises the Commission on nongame and endangered wildlife issues across the state, meets four times per year. Individuals should be willing and able to contribute consistently as volunteers to the efforts of the committee. This committee has a diverse membership with regional, habitat and species-specific expertise.

There are six positions open for nominations, and incumbents may apply for reappointment.. To nominate an individual to serve on the committee, submit a nomination form detailing the reasons for the person’s nomination, a resume, if available, and a cover letter. These documents can be downloaded from the Commission’s Web site, www.ncwildlife.org.

Electronic submissions are preferred (send to carol.price@ncwildlife.org), but hard copies can be mailed to the Nongame and Wildlife Advisory Committee, Attn: Carol Price, Division of Inland Fisheries, MSC 1721, Raleigh, N.C. 27699-1721.
