Bells Church Fishing Area Re-opened

RALEIGH, N.C. (March 31, 2008) – The N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission has re-opened the Bells Church Public Fishing Area, located on Jordan Lake in Chatham County.

Commission personnel closed the public fishing area on March 14 so nighttime fishing lights could be installed on the pier. An electric company dug trenches to install underground cables and installed the lights. However, power to the lights will not be available until mid-April.
