Research Highlights Our latest cooperative research with North Carolina State University involves a farm ecosystem study to incorporate wildlife management practices into a production farming operation. In this study we are comparing quail population responses in areas containing field borders, areas containing field borders and predator control, and control areas with no treatments. Preliminary results indicate the most benefits are from areas with field borders. Predator control is proving to be far less effective.
